David Allen Parham, Sr. 76, a longtime resident of Granville County passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at VA Medical Center in Durham.

A native of Granville County, he was the son of the late William B. Parham and Ruth Hyman Parham. He was a member of Tungsten Baptist Church and worked with D.B. Williams Construction Company for many years.

Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 5, 2017 at Tungsten Mine Baptist Church by Rev. Sam Brewer. Burial will follow service in the church cemetery.

Surviving are his wife of forty-nine years, Mary Elliott Parham of the home; two daughters, Edith P. Tyler of Brunswick, Maryland, Sandra Parham Newton of Henderson; two sons, David Allen Parham, Jr. of Oxford, Ronnie Allen Parham of Roxboro; two brothers, William Parham of Orlando, Florida, and Timothy Hunt of Creedmoor; twelve grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
